POEM – OUR OCEAN
Your love was as profound as the naked ocean.
Your heart was locked in mine with catalyst devotion.
Just like all oceans our tide began to alter.
It started to swallow our forever after.
You don’t look at me like you used to.
The pure love is now diluted and has split in two.
I sleep with you by my side each night.
But you are now a stranger and I don’t recognise your light.
It’s clear our seabed has finally run dry.
The only thing that may save us may be the tears that I cry.
